The Popakademie Talks start on Tuesday October 10th at 7 p.m. with Zora Brändle. Popakademie alumna Zora Brändle will give an overview of the topic of sustainability. After graduating, she was project manager and production manager at Delta Konzerte and deputy festival manager at Maifeld Derby. She then moved to halle02 as project manager before becoming a research assistant to a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament in 2021. Brändle was chairwoman of the club association EventKultur Rhein-Neckar from 2018 to 2023, co-initiator of Delta Frauen and co-initiator, founding member and currently 2nd chairwoman of Clubkultur Baden-Württemberg. In addition, she has been a member of the sustainability jury of the Applaus venue award of the Initiative Musik since 2022.
On Tuesday November 14th 2023 at 7:00 p.m., Nicholas Müller will speak on the topic of social sustainability as a musician. Müller, co-founder of the band Jupiter Jones, will present his book "Ich bin mal eben wieder tot. How I learned to live with fear." In conversation with Prof. Annette Marquardt, head of the Popular Music M.A. program, he will discuss his illness and how he deals with it, and will address the question of how musicians can develop a sustainable artistic personality.
After more than 20 years of stage and band experience, the publication of a Spiegel bestseller and work as a lyricist for various artists, he now focuses on his work as a lecturer for song and lyric writing at the Popakademie, among others.

On Tuesday December 05th 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Laura Knobloch will be our guest and talk about sustainability in festival planning using Enjoy Jazz as an example. For years she has been dealing scientifically, professionally and voluntarily with questions and problems at the interface of man and nature.
At Enjoy Jazz she is responsible for transformation management and believes in the crucial role of culture in the development of a sustainable society.

The talks will take place at the Popakademie in room 001, registration is not necessary.
