Popakademie Special with Max Mutzke

01. April 2026

On April 10, Max Mutzke will be at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg for a special event followed by a Q&A session. The event starts at 2 p.m. and will take place in Room 415. The event is open to everyone and admission is free.

Whether it’s pop, rock, soul, funk, or jazz—Max Mutzke possesses a thousand musical facets, which he effortlessly weaves into the styles that have become his trademark over the past decade and a half. He has collaborated with a wide variety of artists, including Jazzkantine, Klaus Doldinger, Laith Al-Deen, Till Brönner, Bill Evans, Ray Garvey, Clueso, and many more, and also performs regularly with his side project, monoPunk.

In addition to his diverse career as a musician, he is deeply committed to social causes. He is active in the German Children’s Association’s campaign against child abuse, at the Waldshut Women’s and Children’s Shelter, and as an ambassador for the aid organization Misereor. Max Mutzke is also a writer. In 2023, he published his first book, the children’s book “Come to the Paradise of Dreamers.” Just one year later, as part of his 20th stage anniversary, his biography, “So viel Mehr” (So Much More), was published. Both books were released by Fischer Verlag.

From October to November 2025, Max Mutzke will perform live alongside the SWR Big Band in a total of 40 shows. His latest album, “Cookin’ With The Jazz All Stars,” will also be released in conjunction with this tour.
