On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, starting at 6 p.m., producer MACK will be a guest at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg’s Open House. In conversation with Derek von Krogh, he will discuss his work with legendary artists such as Queen, David Bowie, Giorgio Moroder, T.Rex, Deep Purple, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, the Electric Light Orchestra, the Scorpions, Billy Squier, Meat Loaf, BAP, Extreme, and many more.
Reinhold Mack (b. 1946) completed an apprenticeship as a piano builder and began training as a sound engineer at Union Studios in 1970. In 1972, he was recruited by music producer Giorgio Moroder to work at Musicland Studios. In 1973, the newly established recording studio at “Musicland Studios” gained popularity among international bands such as Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Electric Light Orchestra. In 1979, a friendship with Queen began, resulting in several joint music productions. Among the best-known songs produced together with the band are “Another One Bites the Dust,” “Radio Ga Ga,” “I Want to Break Free,” and “Under Pressure.”The Open House is open to the public; admission is free, and registration is not required: Tuesday, May 26, 2026, 6:00 p.m., Room 001, Popakademie
