Popakademie at the AI Congress for Music, Film, and Creative Media

06. July 2026

On September 11 and 12, 2026, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg, the Brandenburg Center for Popular Music (Zentrum Pop), and the KONRAD WOLF Film University Babelsberg invite you to Potsdam-Babelsberg for the nationwide conference “AI Soundscapes – Tools and Innovations for Music, Film & Creative Media.”

The conference brings together professionals from the fields of music, film, research, and the creative industries to discuss current developments in artificial intelligence as they relate to audio and music production. The program includes more than 30 keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, and live demonstrations on new AI tools, changes in production processes, and legal and ethical issues.

Derek von Krogh, Artistic Director and Managing Director of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg, will give a presentation showing how AI is already being used today in music production, film sound, and performance. David Stammer, Project Manager for Digital Innovation at the Popakademie, will address current issues related to copyright, creative authorship, and technological responsibility during a panel discussion.
