Popakademie alumnus new Vice President A&R at Chapter One

12. December 2024

Michael Stockum will take over the position of Vice President A&R at Universal Music Division Chapter One from February 1, 2025. In this role, he will form the new dual leadership of the label together with Anika Krahn, Vice President Marketing.

Stockum, a graduate of the first music business B.A. course at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg, began his career with an internship at Four Music. There he rose to the position of managing director and was instrumental in the careers of artists such as Casper, Mark Forster, Lea and Marteria.

He later founded the TwoSides label together with Lucas Teuchner, which manages artists such as Apache 207 and reezy. With the companies A Million Entertainment and Electric Feel Europe, he has also advised artists such as Céline, Peter Fox, Lena Meyer-Landrut, Luvre47, Jumpa and Paula Hartmann.

Stockum's move to Chapter One marks his return to the major label structure and brings his extensive experience in discovering and promoting artists. Together with Anika Krahn, he will be responsible for the strategic direction of the label and the promotion of new talent. He will also continue his work at Electric Feel Europe.
