Popakademie alumna Laura Ries wins Voice Innovation Award

The Bundesverband Deutscher Gesangspädagogen e.V.(BDG) has honored Popakademie graduate Laura Ries with the Voice Innovation Award. With this award, the association honors young vocal teachers who set new impulses in vocal training with fresh ideas and innovative teaching concepts.
Laura Ries first completed a Master of Arts Music and Creative Industries at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg before going on to complete a Master of Arts Popular Music with a focus on Educating Artist. This unique study profile combines artistic development with pedagogical expertise - a combination that Laura now successfully lives out in her freelance work.She works as a music, songwriting and band coach at schools and external company workshops. At the same time, she also works on her own artistic projects and is active as a singer-songwriter under the name Maggie Ries.With around 1,300 members, the Bundesverband Deutscher Gesangspädagogen e.V. is not only the largest association of its kind in Europe, but also the second largest in the world. With the Voice Innovation Award, it sends out a strong signal for forward-looking musical education.
