New "Mic Check" Season

Students Vivienne Karthäuser, Tzu-Hsuan Chuang, and Hannah Bechmann are implementing the second season of the “Mic Check” format as part of the project factory in the master's program “Music & Creative Industries” at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg. From now on, the episodes will no longer only appear on Instagram and TikTok, but also on YouTube.
“Mic Check” was launched by Anastasia Stümpfl, Joshua Hamleh, and Marie Stumpf during their voluntary social year (FSJ-Kultur) at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2024. They conceived and produced the first season of the format.
The aim of the project is to support artists and bands from the Popakademie in their public visibility and to offer them a platform for authentic self-expression. In personal interviews, the musicians talk about their artistic careers and their own songs and answer entertaining questions that give the audience an accessible insight into their work.
“Mic Check” helps participants to present themselves professionally in digital spaces and build their reach.
The project thus makes an important contribution to promoting young creative artists and at the same time strengthens the visibility of the Popakademie as a cultural educational institution.
The episodes will be released starting in October 2025 on the social media channels of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg.
