Future Music Camp: Call for Sessions

The Future Music Camp of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg will take place on May 19 and 20, 2022. Experts from the digital music and media industry will discuss topics related to the term "artist economies. Speakers can now apply for sessions.This year's Future Music Camp is about the future of artist-fan relationships. During the Corona pandemic in the last two years, the music industry has seen the emergence of new ways of artist-fan interaction and the monetization of fan culture that affect (DIY) artists, labels and management alike. The new business models, tools and platforms in this field are relevant because they show perspectives out of the fundamental dilemma of the music industry: streaming income is too low for many artists and there is a strong dependency on the live sector.In addition to top-class national and international keynote speakers, there will again be sessions held by participants. Whether it's a discussion round, brainstorming session or workshop - the format will be determined by the participants themselves. Proposals can be submitted until April 4, 2022. The Future Music Camp started in 2009 as the first barcamp for the music industry and has established itself as a modern conference format for executives and young professionals from the music and creative industries. With the Future Music Camp, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg networks experts from the field with students from relevant disciplines such as music, media, culture and creative industries.
