Future Music Camp 2024 - Program & schedule published

On Thursday, June 6 and Friday, June 7, the Future Music Camp will take place at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg. This year's focus is "Music Rights & Marketing", and the program and schedule have now been finalized.

The FMC invites you to discuss innovative solutions and highlight current and upcoming challenges in the music and creative industries: this year on the topic of "Music Rights & Marketing".
At the opening on Thursday, Lisa Ruetz (Place Called Home) will give a keynote interview on storytelling in music marketing and present insights from Paula Hartmann's release campaign. Kolja Spohn (ICE) discusses the influence of AI on collective rights management from the perspective of collecting societies. Tobias Brinkmann and Stephan Janke-Kizhukandayil (both Warner Chappell Music) will explain the "Present and future of the sync business". To conclude the keynote program of the first day, Maria Gironas (Cool Shit, Cool People / GM Keychange, U.S.) will speak on the future of marketing and community building.
On the second day of the conference, Katharina Weißenborn-Derwenskus (Sony Music Entertainment) will open with a keynote on brand partnerships in the field of tension between cultural relevance and commercialization. Jack Bridges (SoundCloud) will address the importance of fan engagement and community building from the perspective of a streaming platform. In another keynote, Steffen Geldner (BERMVDA) will present strategies and best practices for successful creator marketing in the music industry, before Alexe Brasseur from French audience intelligence company Audiense talks about data-driven branding.

This year, there will also be an extensive session program with 16 additional program items. Topics include the promotion of music tech in Germany and Europe, the use of AI in the live sector, micro licensing and the future of radio and print.

The program will be accompanied by music from Popakademie acts MAIVA and CeyCey, and on Thursday evening there will be a get-together with Popakademie DJs and an after-show party at the Hagestolz bar in Jungbusch, Mannheim.
