Dr. Florian Drücke and Nikolas Löbel as guests at the Popakademie
27. November 2018
Yesterday evening, 26 November, a special for the students of the Popakademie took place under the motto "Representation of interests by associations using the example of the Bundesverband Musikindustrie". The guests were Dr. Florian Drücke, CEO and Chairman of the Board of the Bundesverband Musikindustrie e.V. as well as CDU delegate Nikolas Löbel from Mannheim, who is also a member of the Committee for Culture and Media of the German Bundestag.Dr. Florian Drücke first presented the work of the German Music Industry Association. In the subsequent question and answer session, the students discussed with the two experts, among other things, the role of politics in music promotion as well as the two overriding topics of copyright and digitisation. The event was part of the Music Business Specials series, which is part of the curriculum for all students of the Popakademie at regular intervals to highlight and discuss current trends in the music industry. As part of this non-public series, Theresa Trenks from PledgeMusic, for example, was a guest at the Popakademie this year to present crowdfunding with her company. And also in December some specials are still waiting for the students. For example, Sebastian Knoll from livyu GmbH and Adam Robert from Google will each offer a special at the Popakademie on the topics of live streaming and artificial intelligence.
