Band pool acts at Nachtwandel

20. October 2025

On the weekend of October 24th/25th Nachtwandel (Night Walk) will take place in Mannheim from 7 p.m. to midnight. Live music will be played throughout the night at various locations, allowing diverse acts with different styles and cultural backgrounds to showcase their talents.

The Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is also contributing to Nachtwandel with ten different band pool acts. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. on both evenings, and the concert starts at 8:00 p.m.
On Friday, the evening kicks off with Maja Kemper. She is a 19-year-old musician from Lake Constance who is currently taking her first steps into the German indie pop scene with her honest and moving songs.
She will be followed by David Ost, who tells stories in his songs with multi-layered vocals carried by modern sounds reminiscent of James Blake, Matt Corby, and Bon Iver.
The third act on Friday evening is FREUDE. The band from Vienna rises with a creative vision that combines the indie and alternative sound of the 90s and 2000s with fresh pop elements.
The penultimate act, Florin, thrills with particularly contrasting music. He moves between depth and lightness, between head and gut, between acoustic warmth and electrifying energy.
To round off Friday, emi x will really get the party started. In emi x's world, internet culture and dream worlds blur into a hypnotic
total work of art made up of electro and hyperpop.
Saturday evening kicks off with Paul Freitag. His songs deal with personal experiences and emotions, with love, fear, and interpersonal challenges playing central roles.
Next, flora takes the stage. The four-piece band makes indie pop with a touch of nostalgia reminiscent of the 2000s—danceable beats, driving guitars, and melodies that stick in your head.
Nico Onur's voice is at the heart of his music. Gentle and determined, intimate and full of emotion, it takes us on a journey through his mind.
Kat Kit, an artist who navigates between energetic, raw lines and fragile, breathy tones, breaks with the apparent contradiction between gentleness and power.
The Nachtwandel concludes at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg with Naomi Westlake. Her music combines the pulsating bass of dance-pop beats with a critical view of the world.
The Bandpool offers selected artists a comprehensive program of workshops, coaching, and mentoring. In collaboration with experienced lecturers from the music industry, each generation receives individual support in all areas of the music business—from music production to stage performance.

Artists can currently apply here until November 23rd 2025.

Admission to the concert as part of Nachtwandel is free.
