Countless tours have taken the freelancer from Hanover and his bass around the globe. He can be found on international rock and pop stages as well as at jazz festivals - then again he can be found with double bass and bow in the orchestra pit in various musical productions. A look at the tour plans of the last years on the website of the endorser of MUSIC MAN instruments and MARKBASS equipment speaks volumes.

Over the years Lars has also made a name for himself as a bass teacher in great demand. The "Popakademie Baden-Württemberg" in Mannheim, the "Academy Of Contemporary Music (ACM)" in London, the "Hochschule für Musik und Theater" in Hannover or the internationally renowned "Warwick Bass Camp" (where he taught alongside bass legends such as Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, Alphonso Johnson, Bobby Vega, Stu Hamm, Adam Nitti and Gary Willis) are just a few of his teaching stations. With "Slap Attack" Lars has also written one of the most important textbooks on slap technique on the electric bass!

From 1996 to 2015 Lars Lehmann was editor-in-chief of the bass magazine "Bass Professor". Since 2015 he is head of the bass editorial office of the biggest German online magazine www.bonedo.de.

2010 saw the release of "Music Like Pictures", Lars' first solo album, which received excellent international reviews.
