Popakademie is holding its end-of-semester concert at the Forum Mannheim

Once again this year, the end-of-semester concert showcases the artistic diversity of the degree programs in Pop Music Design, World Music, and Music & Creative Industries. The lineup includes Maiva, Noa Dear, Munday, John Bennington, Clarsten, Ayla, Strain/Sedate, HAIVE, and Buffasyze B2B Johannes Spaniol. The lineup is rounded out by two wildcard acts that particularly stood out during the Summer Break Sessions.

“The end-of-semester concert is a highlight for our students every year,” says Derek von Krogh, Artistic Director and Managing Director of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg. “It demonstrates just how much artistic growth is possible in a single academic year. The Forum Mannheim provides the perfect setting to celebrate the full spectrum of our musical culture together with the audience.”

With this concert, the Popakademie concludes its Summer Break Sessions, during which more than 40 bands and solo projects complete their live exams. The acts performing at the end-of-semester concert reflect the school’s stylistic diversity: The spectrum of music to be heard this evening at Forum Mannheim ranges from pop, indie, and electronic music to experimental sound aesthetics and powerful metal sets.

The end-of-semester concert serves as a stage for up-and-coming musicians and a meeting place for the local and regional music scenes. Students, alumni, faculty, representatives from the music industry, and music fans are invited to celebrate the end of the semester together and discover new artistic projects from the Popakademie.
