Future Music Camp 2022 Hybrid publishes program

The program of the Future Music Camp on May 19th and 20th 2022 of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is fixed. The Future Music Camp will take place hybrid, registration is now open. Places on site are limited, all content is accessible digitally at the same time.
The overarching theme of the 2022 program is the concept of the "Artist Economy," which describes the impact of the Creator Economy on artists and the music industry.Hannah Kahlert (Associate Analyst, MIDiA Research, UK) and Joshua Weikert (Co-Founder, Cyanite) will address the concept of the Creator Economy, as well as artificial intelligence and the prospects for artists in their presentations. The main topics are also the possibilities of NFTs, Metaverse and Web 3.0, which will be explained in presentations by Amke Block (Founder, Un1k.art), Floris Henning (Head of Strategy, Integr8) and Josef Pötzinger (Artist, Whoiswelanski). Lisa Young In (Senior Manager Audience Development, AWAL, UK) ("International Audience Development - Best Practices") and Michelle Yuen (Business Intelligence Analyst, Chartmetric, US) ("A new model for data-driven A&R") are confirmed as further international keynote speakers. Simon Müller (Director Commercial & Business Development, Sony Music, CH) will talk about the present and future of virtual live experiences. Andreas Schubert (Senior Artist Manager, Alvaro Soler / Budde Music) will shed light on the perspective of artist management in a keynote interview. In addition, there will again be an extensive session program: Simon Wagner (Strategic Partner Manager, Audience Development, YouTube Music) will explain content strategies for artists. Other topics include new financing models in the music industry and the future of the live industry.
More info about the sessionsThe Future Music Camp started in 2009 as the first barcamp for the music industry and has established itself as a modern conference format for executives and young professionals from the music and creative industries. With the Future Music Camp, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg networks experts from the field with students from relevant disciplines such as music, media, culture and creative industries. David Stammer, Project Manager Digital Innovation, is responsible for the Future Music Camp and also moderates it. This year, the Future Music Camp will take place hybrid with an audience on site, and the keynotes will be streamed simultaneously via the YouTube channel of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg.
