The Popakademie informs about the Bağlama study program

This year, in addition to the regular study information day, there will also be an information talk on the Bağlama focus at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg. On Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., interested parties can get a detailed insight into the Bağlama focus of the World Music B.A. degree program online here.

The event will be opened by Prof. Udo Dahmen, Managing Director and Artistic Director of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg. Afterwards, Prof. Dr. David-Emil Wickström, Head of World Music B.A. and Pop Music Design B.A., will introduce the study program.

Afterwards, Kemal Dinç, Head of Department Bağlama, will inform about the focus and give an insight into the contents and requirements. The two-hour information talk will be framed by musical contributions, which will also shed light on the practical side of the subject. In addition, the Bağlama lecturers Erdem Şimşek and Kenan Tülek will also be present. At the end, there will be an opportunity for all participants to ask questions.

The bachelor's degree program in World Music covers the focus areas of Turkish, Arabic and West African music, as well as their connection to popular music both in their countries of origin and in their cultural development in the popular culture here. The application deadline is April 30, 2022.
