Applications for the International Summer Camp are now open

From Saturday, July 25, to Thursday, July 30, 2026, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg will host the 16th edition of the International Summer Camp. More than 50 international musicians from various genres in the popular music and global music scenes will be coming to Mannheim during this time. Applications are now being accepted.
The program features five days of workshops on songwriting, vocals, band coaching, music production, and instrumental instruction. Applications are open to (semi-)professional songwriters, producers, percussionists, and musicians playing guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, oud, bağlama, and kanun. The workshop week will be led by a top-notch international team of instructors. This year, instructors from the Popakademie’s global university network—including the UK, Australia, and the USA—have been invited. The highlight of the International Summer Camp is the closing concert on Thursday, July 30, 2026, which will take place at the Popakademie starting at 8:00 PM with free admission. There, the participants will present their music to an audience.The International Summer Camp 2026 is taking place with the kind support of the Dr. Rolf M.
