We are very happy to welcome you in our house. The Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is a barrier-free building. The building has barrier-free access, the bus stop in front of the building is also barrier-free and therefore easy to reach by public transport. The Popakademie has a handicapped parking space, a handicapped accessible WC with a pull cord and emergency call switch, the doors are suitable for wheelchair users according to DIN18040 and can be operated by pushbuttons and are equipped with finger protection. A lift with Braille lettering and a stretcher are available in case of failure. In the house there are generous movement areas with turning possibilities and there are no thresholds. A pictorial description with common pictograms ensures easy orientation in the house. Ramps and fall protection are available for the stages. Three bandpool acts at the Southside Festival 2025
Big stage for Popakademie talents: Three acts from the current band pool generations 26 and 27 are on the program this year at the Southside Festival - one of the largest and most renowned festivals in Germany.

Gold for former Popakademie student Tom Twers
The successful artist Tom Twers achieved gold status in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with his single “Falle für dich”. The former pop music design student received the awards as part of his sold-out tour, which was attended by a total of 12,000 people. Tom has also reached third place in the German album charts with his new EP “Ein Ja Reicht” and now has over 300 million streams.

Open Call for the Giga Hertz Prize
The Giga-Hertz Prize for Electronic Music and Sound Art has been awarded by the ZKM | Karlsruhe and the SWR Experimentalstudio since 2007. With entries from over 40 countries, it is one of the most prestigious prizes of its kind internationally. This year, the ZKM | Karlsruhe is providing total prize money of €25,000. The award ceremony will take place during the Giga-Hertz Festival 2025 from November 20th to 22nd.
