We are very happy to welcome you in our house. The Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is a barrier-free building. The building has barrier-free access, the bus stop in front of the building is also barrier-free and therefore easy to reach by public transport. The Popakademie has a handicapped parking space, a handicapped accessible WC with a pull cord and emergency call switch, the doors are suitable for wheelchair users according to DIN18040 and can be operated by pushbuttons and are equipped with finger protection. A lift with Braille lettering and a stretcher are available in case of failure. In the house there are generous movement areas with turning possibilities and there are no thresholds. A pictorial description with common pictograms ensures easy orientation in the house. Ramps and fall protection are available for the stages. The Popakademie is partnering with MARCHIVUM and the University of Mannheim
As part of the Popakademie Talks during the 2026 summer semester, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is collaborating with the University of Mannheim and the MARCHIVUM on the topic of “Music made in Mannheim.” In addition to the talks, joint courses will be held at the Popakademie and the University in close collaboration with the MARCHIVUM. A group from the Popakademie’s project workshop is also affiliated with the project. This is the first collaboration of its kind between the institutions in Mannheim.

Pop macht Schule final concert
In the spring of 2026, five schools from the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region visited the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg as part of the “Pop macht Schule” project. On Monday, April 20, 2026, the students will present their work at the final concert at the Capitol Mannheim. This year, the project was once again fully funded by the Bülent Ceylan für Kinder Stiftung.

FINJA and Florin at Sound Up
On Thursday, April 16, two acts with ties to the Popakademie—FINJA and Florin—will perform at the Gibson Club in Frankfurt. With this event, the club continues its “Sound Up – Welcome to our Stage” series, offering up-and-coming musical talents a stage to showcase their talents on a regular basis.
