We are very happy to welcome you in our house. The Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is a barrier-free building. The building has barrier-free access, the bus stop in front of the building is also barrier-free and therefore easy to reach by public transport. The Popakademie has a handicapped parking space, a handicapped accessible WC with a pull cord and emergency call switch, the doors are suitable for wheelchair users according to DIN18040 and can be operated by pushbuttons and are equipped with finger protection. A lift with Braille lettering and a stretcher are available in case of failure. In the house there are generous movement areas with turning possibilities and there are no thresholds. A pictorial description with common pictograms ensures easy orientation in the house. Ramps and fall protection are available for the stages. Popakademie acts performing live at the 2026 Mannheim City Festival
Once again this year, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg will be represented at the Mannheim City Festival with exciting musical talents. From May 29th to 31st 2026, downtown Mannheim will once again be transformed into a large festival grounds featuring numerous stages, culinary offerings, and a diverse music program.

Popakademie alumna Alice Merton at the 2026 Nibelungen Festival
As part of this year’s Nibelungen Festival in Worms, Popakademie alumna Alice Merton (B.A. in Pop Music Design) will be responsible for the musical arrangement of the festival production “The Queen of the Huns.” Together with British singer, musician, and composer Alexander Wolfe of Les Enfants Terribles, Alice Merton will also perform live as a singer and musician on stage in front of Worms Cathedral during the performances.

Popakademie Open House with MACK
On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, starting at 6 p.m., producer MACK will be a guest at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg’s Open House. In conversation with Derek von Krogh, he will discuss his work with legendary artists such as Queen, David Bowie, Giorgio Moroder, T.Rex, Deep Purple, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, the Electric Light Orchestra, the Scorpions, Billy Squier, Meat Loaf, BAP, Extreme, and many more.
