We are very happy to welcome you in our house. The Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is a barrier-free building. The building has barrier-free access, the bus stop in front of the building is also barrier-free and therefore easy to reach by public transport. The Popakademie has a handicapped parking space, a handicapped accessible WC with a pull cord and emergency call switch, the doors are suitable for wheelchair users according to DIN18040 and can be operated by pushbuttons and are equipped with finger protection. A lift with Braille lettering and a stretcher are available in case of failure. In the house there are generous movement areas with turning possibilities and there are no thresholds. A pictorial description with common pictograms ensures easy orientation in the house. Ramps and fall protection are available for the stages. JORIS plays as homecoming act at the SWR3 New Pop Festival
Singer-songwriter and Popakademie alumnus JORIS will be performing as the homecoming act at the anniversary edition of the SWR3 New Pop Festival. The festival takes place from September 18 to 21 in Baden-Baden and celebrates 30 years of New Pop.

Popakademie awarded certificate
The Popakademie Baden-Württemberg was honored on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 in Berlin as part of the 27th berufundfamilie certificate award ceremony for its family- and life-phase-conscious personnel policy/family-friendly working and study conditions. The Popakademie has been shaping this since 2025 with the audit berufundfamilie/audit familiengerechte hochschule - the strategic management instrument that initiates and controls a sustainable process of compatibility. Derek von Krogh, Artistic Director and Managing Director of the Popakademie, received the first audit certificate at the ceremony from Mareike Wulf, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, and Oliver Schmitz, Managing Director of berufundfamilie Service GmbH.

Mic Check interview format - the FSJ Culture Project 2025
Anastasia Stümpfl, Joshua Hamleh and Marie Stumpf independently designed and implemented the interview format ‘Mic Check’ as part of their Voluntary Social Year (FSJ-Kultur) at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg.
