Popakademie-student produces "Most successful work of the year"

04. March 2020

When GEMA presents the German Music Authors' Prize on 12 March, the award in the category "Most Successful Work of the Year 2019" will go to the song "Roller" by Apache 207 and thus also to former Popakademie student Jennifer Allendörfer.

GEMA describes Apache 207 as "the starter of the German rap scene". His song "Roller" has been in the Top 10 of the German single charts for 27 weeks and has been accessed by over 170 million people on various music streaming platforms. The rapper from Ludwigshafen composed, wrote the lyrics and produced his hit with the producer team Suena and Lucry. Suena is the stage name of Jennifer Allendörfer, who studied Pop Music Design at the Popakademie until 2018.

Just how much in demand Allendörfer aka Suena is at the moment, she also proves on Prince Pi's new album "True Legends", which was released on February 14th and for which the former pop academics co-produced the first single release "Heimweg". In the accompanying music video she shows that she is also an excellent pianist.

If you are interested in the production of songs, you can watch in a Video by Suena and Lucry how the hit "Roller" was created.
