Future Music Camp 2023: Program published

On May 25th and 26th 2023, the Future Music Camp of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg will take place in Mannheim. Experts from the digital music and media industry will be speaking on the topic of "Creative Artificial Intelligence in the Music Business. The keynote program has now been published.

This year, the Future Music Camp will focus on the impact of creative artificial intelligence on the marketing of music. Various aspects of the music industry will be examined: the work of labels, publishers and agencies, today's media consumption or the perspective of fans, the work of creative professionals or even the ethical and legal dimension of A.I..

International keynote speakers are Julie Knibbe (Music Tomorrow, France) on "State of Music Data & Explainable A.I. in the Music Industry" and Valerio Velardo (The Sound Of A.I) on "How A.I. will impact music making". Julian Löwe and Nepomuk Kähler (Neubau Music) will give an insight into the use of A.I. in label and publishing. Prof. Dr. Hanno Fierdag (lawyer for music law, copyright and media law) will talk about "A.I. and copyright", Ryan Rauscher (BMG) will highlight the topic "Payment Option Transparency - How to understand user-centric & co". In addition, Hanna Lukashevich (Fraunhofer Institute) will speak about "A.I. and music analysis" and Dr. Christine Bauer (Utrecht University) about "Ethical issues related to algorithms".

In addition, there will once again be an extensive session program in which other topics of digital music marketing such as fan loyalty, innovative content strategies, playlist pitching or the use of A.I. for marketing assets will be discussed.

The Future Music Camp started in 2009 as the first barcamp for the music industry and has established itself as a modern conference format for executives and young professionals from the music and creative industries. With the Future Music Camp, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg networks experts from the field with students from relevant disciplines such as music, media, culture and creative industries. The person responsible is David Stammer (Project Manager Digital Innovation), who also moderates the Future Music Camp.

Participation in the Future Music Camp is free of charge, places are limited.
The event will take place in presence in Mannheim.
