We are very happy to welcome you in our house. The Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is a barrier-free building. The building has barrier-free access, the bus stop in front of the building is also barrier-free and therefore easy to reach by public transport. The Popakademie has a handicapped parking space, a handicapped accessible WC with a pull cord and emergency call switch, the doors are suitable for wheelchair users according to DIN18040 and can be operated by pushbuttons and are equipped with finger protection. A lift with Braille lettering and a stretcher are available in case of failure. In the house there are generous movement areas with turning possibilities and there are no thresholds. A pictorial description with common pictograms ensures easy orientation in the house. Ramps and fall protection are available for the stages. Alex Mayr takes over the Bachelor Singer/Songwriter
From the winter semester 2024/2025, Alex Mayr will be responsible for artistic/technical advice and project support for the singer/songwriters in the Bachelor's degree course in Popmusikdesign at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg. The department is supported by Julia Nagele in the minor subject of singing and Peter Lagoda. Alex Mayr replaces Prof. Annette Marquard, who has been responsible for the artistic and technical supervision of the department since the Popakademie was founded in 2003.

Popakademie alumnus produces arte series “Metrokosmos”
Jonathan Thiemeier, founder and managing director of Seehund Media. GmbH, produced the series “Metrokosmos”. The series highlights various European cities from the perspective of the subway. The special perspective is intended to reflect the diversity of people and cultures.

Popakademie lecturers publish new anthology
Prof. Dr. Alexander Endreß, Head of the Music Business B.A. department, and Prof. Dr. Ralf Kitzberger, LL.M., are jointly publishing the book “Music and Law” with Nomos Verlag. The book is part of the publication series “Music and Business” from the “Music Business” department of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg.
